The International Alumni Center (iac Berlin) was founded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung in 2017 to support the development of networks for social impact. It advises foundations and other nonprofit organizations, provides practical solutions for the design of networks and initiates new forms of collaboration. 

The iac Berlin also coordinates the Bosch Alumni Network, which connects more than 8,500 former and current fellows, grantees, partners and employees of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and its partners, and supports them as agents of change in their communities. The network contributes to an open, just and sustainable world by convening diverse perspectives, enabling knowledge sharing, and empowering members to take collective action. With a decentralized structure and communities based on topics and regions, the network brings together members with common interests and different backgrounds from around 140 countries. Members contribute to the network's mission through more than 100 activities each year.

For the Bosch Alumni Network, we are looking for a

Senior Network Coordinator (m/f/d)

The contract is initially limited to two years, set at 32 hours/week, and begins on January 1, 2025.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and consolidating methods, formats, and tools for community building and network development
  • Supporting members who co-create the network in decentralized roles, as well as thematic and regional groups
  • Organizing, curating, and facilitating online, hybrid, and in-person events 
  • Providing support, quality assurance, and administration of network projects
  • Supporting internal and external communication of activities
  • Co-shaping the development of the network with the coordination team and network members

What you bring: 

Essential skills, knowledge, and experience

  • 3+ years of experience in community building and network development within the non-profit sector
  • Extensive project and event management experience, both online and offline
  • Experience in facilitating groups with human-centered design  
  • Strategic thinking and strong conceptual skills as well as a structured and results-oriented way of working
  • Experience in building and managing multi-stakeholder collaborations and partnerships
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and very good level of German

Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience

  • Experience in guiding communities and volunteering teams towards collective action in complex environments
  • Experience in developing tools, methods, and guidelines for community- and partnership-building
  • Personal experience with an alumni network
  • Fluency in other languages

Reporting

You will work closely with the entire Bosch Alumni Network coordination team, bring in their ideas and coordinate their projects independently and report to the team lead.

Location

iac Berlin is located in Berlin, Germany. You must have the right to work in Germany. We offer flexible working options, including remote work. However, we do ask that you spend 50 % of your time in our office, and for the first 3 months, 80 % of your hours will be office-based.
